Dear reader. Right now a lamb that we had raised by hand is sick and about to be put down. His name was Herby. In this moment of sorrow, i would like to say something. The path we walk is the path of life. When we come to a fork we hope to make the right choice. When we get to the end we die. That end is our destiny. sometimes our path ends abruptly, like Herbys. But other times, we can see it coming from far away.

Good news! The fort survived the night. We finished the frame and have started on the layer of fern. If the rain holds up we can finish the roof tomorrow! Op! Wait a sec. Darn! It just started to rain. Oh well. We'll just have to finish the roof and let it dry out.
We had fascicle fitness testing to day. After that we played alien tag. I only got hit with a meteor once!

PS. my sheep look very happy.

Its a beautiful rainy day. There is a thin coat of mist on the filed. also, the smell of fresh, wet pine needles and soft, decomposing leafs is absolutely delightful.
The chickens are squawking, the dog is begging, my cat is in my dresser (again) and i am writing this, kept company by a pencil holder that looks like Dilberts head.

today the first thing i would like to do is answer a question that was left for me. no. you can not eat the mushrooms that are red with white spots. as a matter of fact they are extremely poisonous.

Today at school it was poring. one of my Friends and i are half way threw the frame of a rain shelter. Unfortunately every time we get it so that it is rain proof someone destroys it. Today? So far so good but, we didn't get time to put up the mane support beams so it may not survive the night.
PS. my cat spent the day on my dresser.

We FINALLY got some food grade paint for our appal pres. We won the press off the Rotary club. it was ten dollars a ticket (ouch!)but we got lucky.

Hi, my name is Lotus.  My real name is Dylan but I like Lotus better.  I am 10 years old and I live on a farm on Vashon.  For those of you who don't know, it is a small island in Puget Sound and just SW of Seattle, Washington.  I live on a 5 acre farm.  We have a ton of sheep and chickens (we also have some chicks but they haven't started laying yet), a dog and 2 cats.  As you can see, we love animals.
